W4AIS started because too many capable women in AI safety were working in isolation, with no network to find each other.
We're building the network that fixes that: a place to find roles, get visibility, find a mentor and meet the people who open doors, whether you're already established in alignment, governance or policy, or still finding your way in.
The field is young, and the people who join now will shape what it becomes.
AI safety is short of people in operations, governance, policy and leadership, and leaving capable people out is a cost it can't afford.
Many people who could do this work never find a way in. A network, a mentor and a concrete first step change that.
